The Rural Farm Roads Initiative so produce from Abi's farming communities can reach markets without spoiling on impassable routes.
Abi Local Government Area, with its headquarters at Itigidi, is a largely rural and riverine constituency. Its farmers and traders carry the local economy, and its communities feel the cost of poor rural roads and post-harvest losses more sharply than most.
Cassava, rice, yam, fishing and river trade across Itigidi, Ediba, Adadama, Afafanyi and neighbouring communities.
These priorities are drawn from the People’s Legislative Agenda and applied to the realities of Abi Local Government Area.

Agricultural Value Chain Development and produce processing support, so cassava and other crops are processed locally instead of leaving the LGA as raw, low-value harvests.
Federal rural electrification projects and expansion of potable water schemes for riverine and hard-to-reach communities.
Oversight of Ecological Fund and NDDC projects so riverine communities exposed to flooding and erosion receive the interventions already budgeted for them.
